Frankenstraps

Remember the Frankenbag? I'm working again on the straps:








Here's a picture of my spinning wheel, finally at home and in working condition (I hope).






I still haven't tested it, maybe I'm putting it off because I'm afraid it will not work... Well, at least it looks good, doesn't it?

I just got an antique wheel myself. Now I'm trying to get it up and running. I'll post pictures of it soon.

Hi Pioggia, Me again. I've heard about the toe-up socks but haven't seen a pattern yet. Any ideas where I can get such a thing? Thanks for your help.

I don't like the provisional cast on method because I get a twisted toe. I like the short row toe instead. You can find instructions for both (again from Wendy) in Knitty:
